Paula Everitt: Bio

Paula Everitt (b. 1954) was born and raised in rural Sussex, NJ, a town founded by her seventh great-grandfather. At the age of 17, she flew to Sweden where she began to pursue a lifelong interest in the arts and humanities, studying philosophy, psychology and
religion at several universities both in the US and abroad.

Drawn to the figure and the perennial issues of the human condition, Paula has been heavily influenced in her work by personal and professional experience. Her voice finds its fullest expression in a combination of abstract and figurative drawings and works on paper which seek to convey the many layers, imperfections and interconnected nature of human life.
